Hello, I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly but I'm researching the Stevens/Stephens and Crippen families. One thing that has come up is that my Lucy Crippen Stevens has said she was born in Vermont but in the 1875 NY Census she said Clinton County. She was born about 1812. I understand Clinton used to be a part of Vermont or vice versa. Can you sort this out for me?
